Argentina : groundings in the Parana River 27/04/2017

Loss Prevention

Local lawyer in Argentina, Estudio Vega, have advised of another grounding in the Parana River, this time at km 343. This brings the total number of groundings between km 341 and km 350 to four in the past week or so. The latest grounding has blocked the new navigation channel, but ships can still use the old channel and so there is no reported disruption to navigation. Members are advised to exercise caution when navigating the river as the new channel may not yet be properly way marked.
